ICT-HELPDESK CSO

The ICT Helpdesk-CSO is a position within the ICT Unit at Vital. The purpose of the ICT Helpdesk-CSO role is to ensure that ICT support services at Vital are available and delivered in an efficient and timely manner. This position reports to the ICT Manager.

The main duties of the Helpdesk CSO includes but not limited to the following:

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for end users requiring assistance with technical issues concerning computer systems, hardware, and software.
  •   Manage Vital’s ICT Helpdesk System daily, ensuring accurate logging of all client support requests across service towers, including essential details.
  •   Delegate or escalate unresolved support requests to appropriate members of the ICT Team as necessary.
  • Follow up on support requests, ensuring updates are provided promptly and work progress is tracked.
  •   Monitor and ensure timely completion of all support requests.
  •   Resolve printing issues across all Vital facilities.
  • Support daily preventive maintenance for ICT equipment and systems as required.  
  • Adhere strictly to Company policies and procedures, ensuring all assigned tasks are conducted safely and comply with guidelines pertaining to workplace health and safety, security, confidentiality, and protection.

Qualification & Experience

Essential

  • Degree in technology/computing, records management
  • A good understanding of Windows Operating systems including Windows 10 and 11.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Applications or MS Office 365.

Desirable

  • At least two years in an IT helpdesk customer service environment with proven abilities to excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent in using Windows Operating Computers and Microsoft Applications.
  • Experience with a range of hardware items including laptops, Tablets, desktops, smartphones, printers, projectors, and conference systems such as Polycom and Zoom.
  • A solid understanding of health and safety with the ability to translate it into procedure.
  • Experience in an operation or industry where customer deliveries must always accurate and on time.
  • Operations experience in the wider energy industry.
