We are currently seeking the right candidate for the position of:

TERMINAL SUPERVISOR (Chuuk)

The Terminal Supervisor assists the Officer-in-Charge in overseeing the day to day operations of Chuuk Terminal.

Essential Job Requirements

The Terminal Supervisor is a Supervisory level role, responsible for operators, drivers and refuelers. Terminal Supervisors are considered role models and as such, are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to their role and responsibilities at all times.

Principle accountabilities of the Terminal Supervisor include:

  • Tanker receipt/acceptance and documentation
  • Tanker/shore Sampling practices and procedure
  • Product testing and quality verification
  • Product acceptance and documentation
  • Product receipt operations and documentation
  • TDO management
  • Iso-tanktainer receipt, acceptance, management and documentation
  • Tank gauging management
  • Gantry filing management
  • Drum filing management
  • Loading a tanker with product
  • Driving a tanker
  • Unloading product from tanker
  • Lube oil management
  • Laboratory procedures and practices
  • Forklift operations and procedures
  • Fire system weekly checks

Inventory movements documentation

  • Review of Aviation Load Authorizations
  • Completion of daily tank dips, product transfers, slops, & meter calibrations
  • Completion of load authorization per every customer uplift
  • Completion of refuelling record and aviation monthly summary report
  • Input into PetroX daily tank dips, meter reading, product movement, & bridger receipts

Administrative functions

  • Maintaining personal record
  • Maintaining and filing daily delivery record
  • Maintaining and filing pre-check record
  • Monitoring LMS progress for each aviation staff
  • Maintaining Aviation Personnel training records and ensuring they are updated

Health Safety Security & Environment (HSSE) and Business Conduct Responsibilities Safety, health, environmental and business conduct responsibilities include:

  • Performing job function in compliance to rules, regulations and policies of the corporation
  • Observing all policies at all times in terminal and when conducting business
  • Participating in meetings and training relating to safety, drills, exercises and aviation operations
  • Being knowledgeable of all emergency response plan and carrying out the designated role and assigned duties as called for in the plan
  • Compliance with the company’s Defensive Driver Policies and procedures
  • Immediately responding to and notifying supervisor of any and all incidents relating to aviation and operations
  • Immediately reporting any incidents, near miss or accidents to your line manager
  • Ensuring that all required personal protective equipment (PPE) are issued to all staff
  • Ensuring correct and proper PPE are worn and used as required by the job
  • Preparing and complying with all Safe Work Permit (SWP) requirements during work activities
  • Ensuring you acquire a “CAN DO” in SWP Officer in order to issue permits to cover non-routine work in the facility
  • Adhering to all necessary security procedures and requirements
  • Adhering to permit to work system when conducting any maintenance work

Customer service

  • Ensuring that all customers are attended on a timely manner
  • Ensuring respect is shown to customers within our regulation and policies
  • Being neat and presentable during working hours, in uniform as required when on duty and adhering to corporate grooming policy
  • Conducting corporate business professionally and ethically, particularly in public places
  • Avoiding arguments with customer and never speculating on our business matter when asked

S/he is to ensure that all tasks performed are conducted in a safe manner and in accordance with the company’s operating procedure guideline.

Knowledge & Experience

We are seeking individuals with:

 Essential: Desirable:
  • 5 years of work experience in the petroleum industry
  • Must be computer literate
  • 3 years of work experience in a role with people and project management responsibilities, developing the ability and confidence to work with limited supervision
  • A solid understanding of health and safety with the ability to translate it into procedures.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma
  • Experience in an operation or industry where customer deliveries must always accurate and on time.
  • Operations experience in the wider energy industry
  • College/university degree in Business Management or Administration, Engineering, or related field
