PRESS RELEASE 01_2026

Fuel Quality Incident at AMCRES Service Station

Vital FSM Petroleum Corporation (Vital FSMPC) wishes to inform the public that we have successfully responded to and resolved a fuel quality issue involving unleaded petrol (gasoline, ULP) at the AMCRES service station earlier this week.

Upon being notified by AMCRES management of a potential product quality incident on February 10 around 3:30 p.m., we recommended that gasoline sales be suspended immediately and, that the suspected contaminated product be removed, and the site be supplied with a fresh batch of gasoline. This action was completed by 11:00 p.m. on the same day.

This remains an isolated event, and investigations are ongoing into the root cause(s) and overall responsibility for the incident.

Guidance for Affected Consumers

The CEO, Mr. Morris, stated: “While we complete internal investigations into the root causes of the incident, our primary concern remains our customer, AMCRES, and their affected consumers. We will do what is appropriate and expected of us to minimize the impact of the event and return to normal.”

Vital FSMPC maintenance technicians and workshops have been made available to assist affected customers. Our specialists indicate that a fuel quality issue of this nature can, in most instances, be corrected by completely draining and flushing the fuel system, refueling with fresh gasoline, and replacing fuel filters, oil filters, engine oil, and spark plugs.

Customers who have been affected should, in the first instance, contact the AMCRES service station at 320‑3492.
